Name: Kyaw Lin (Lyndon) Tu
Qualifications: M.B.,B.S., FRCSE
Lyndon Tu has full registration with the General Medical Council of United Kingdom and is on its specialist register for ophthalmology. His specialist training was in Liverpool where he also did subspecialty fellowship in cornea and external eye diseases. He joined Emmetropia Mediterranean eye Institute in 2007.
Apart from small incision (phacoemulsification) cataract surgery, his special interests include corneal/anterior segment surgery and refractive surgery.
He has 14 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has acted as an invited referee for Cornea journal and the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology. He has also made 15 presentations at national and international conferences.
His current research interests include corneal biomechanics and corneal collagen cross-linking with Riboflavin.
He is a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
